4. Written by Wca employee on March 15, 2012 from los angeles, california, US If you didn't fill out the survey or join a sweepstakes then somebody in your family must have. It's 100 percent the only way this company gets any leads. If you opt out by asking to be put on the do not call list then don't do anything that gets you opted back in like fill out another survey. In closing look around at the other posters like the one poster who thinks THIS site is out to get him and laugh about the whole thing I have zero interest in lying to any of you. It doesn't do a thing for me whether you believe me or not but I do have the answers whether you want to believe me or not.
5. Written by Jackie in Pennsylvania - Corre on March 14, 2012 from media, pennsylvania, US Correction: I called the Federal Trade Commission 1-877-382-4357. Each time you receive a call write down the date, time, your phone # (land or cell) and call the FTC, file a complaint. They do investigate and will do something about shutting down these folks. EVERY TIME you receive a call you must call FTC!

8. Written by jt64 on February 22, 2012 from fresno, california, US Same complaint as the others, with a response to WCA employee above: you are incorrect, we NEVER do surveys because we're concerned we might hear from companies like yours. oh yeah, thanks for the "sheep" reference. I now have so much respect for you and the company you represent.
9. Written by Anon on February 16, 2012 from spring lake, michigan, US I just got a call from them from number 302-394-9745. I had the same experience detailed above. I asked who the company was, how they got my number. I was told that they got my number "from the internet." I pressed for where and was told "you or someone you know filled out a survey." He then tried to get rid of me and I told him to hold on. I asked if I could have a contact number for WCA and was told that he was calling from a phone center and did not have a contact number. I asked if that means there is no way to contact the "World Commerce Association" and he said you can look this up online. I googled "World Commerce Association" and this site came up. Now I'm paranoid that THIS site is phony and just another devious way for scam artists to collect my information (hence the Anon).
10. Written by Wca employee on February 2, 2012 from los angeles, california, US Ok everyone let me just say I work for wca and this is what happens. Every single one of you did a survey online to win something for free like sheep. You didn't read the fine print that said these surveys were going to sell your information. And sell your information they did. Wca works as a sort of call center with the companies that bought your info(security companies, etc) to qualify you and get you on the line with reps for all these companies. The way the no call list works is as follows: if you request to be put on the no call list you are there for 5 years at a time. This works for all companies that use telemarketing EXCEPT ones you do business with(you filling out that info is considered doing business which is why you're getting called) Now on to use the employees. None of us are bad people we're just college aged kids with a *** job. When we call we ask you to confirm your name tell you about the security system and hopefully get you on with a representative, we never ask for personal info ever. So in closing if you get called by us and have an extra few minutes in your day please just yes us to death and get transferred to a representive(whatever you do from there doesn't matter) so we can keep our *** jobs. Thank you kindly.
